The guest page
What guests see when they scan the code, and how to give that page your event’s colors, logo and words with a guest page design.
The guest page opens in the phone’s browser from the QR code. No app, no account. On a tablet on its side or a desktop, the welcome sits large on the left and the page is a card on the right.
What a guest does
Say hello
The first time, the page says hello, asks for a name — optional, they can post without one — and, when the workspace asks for consent, shows the consent text to agree to once.
Take a selfie, or skip it
If the engagement asks for one, the front camera opens for a selfie. It sits in the corner of their notes and photos on the screen. Skip for now is always there.
Pick what to send
Tabs for what the engagement takes — Note, Question, Photo, Video — in the order the design sets.
Send it
The guest sees their post exactly as the wall will draw it, then sends it. The page says what happens next — Thrown! Look up at the screen., or that it goes up once the host approves it.
Notes and questions
The guest writes on the sticky note itself, in handwriting, at the size the wall will use. Long text shrinks to fit, and near the limit a small counter appears on the corner of the paper — it says Too long for the screen before the wall would have to cut anything. Enter sends.
Photos and Live photos
The shutter starts a three-second countdown, and the screens show a polaroid peeking in while it runs. With Live photos on, the phone also records a short, silent clip around the shutter — the clip is made on the phone. The caption is written on the polaroid’s strip. If the camera is blocked, the guest can pick a photo instead.
Videos and captions
The guest records a short video, up to the length the workspace allows. The phone turns what they said into timed caption lines; they can correct each line, remove one or add one before sending. Only the corrected text is kept — the speech is never sent to a speech service.
Open, paused and closed
The page follows the engagement. While it is paused, guests can still post, and the page says their post goes up a little later. While it is closed, the page says so, with the room’s name.
Guest page designs
A guest page design is a reusable look, like a layout for the phone page. Make them under Content → Guest pages. Without one, guests see the stock look — deep indigo and yellow paper.
Make a design
Press New guest page design and give it a name — Summit 2026 — night. It starts from the stock look.
Make it yours
- Colors — start from a look (Lights down, Daylight, Neon club, Forest…), then change any color. The editor warns when text and background are too close.
- Fonts.
- Logo and background — pictures from Assets, with a color over the background picture.
- Words — the headline, the welcome and the button labels. Leave one empty for the stock words.
- Tabs — which show and in what order.
- Paper and prints — the sticky-note pad and the polaroid frame (white, cream or black).
Check it in the preview
The right side is the real guest page, as a phone or as a desktop, at every step: Hello, Posting, Paused and Closed. Type in it, pick a tab, throw a note — nothing is sent.
Use it
In an engagement, pick the design under Guest page design. Or press Make default on its card in the list (or use Workspace default in the editor), and every engagement that picks none gets it. Guests see a saved change the next time their page looks for news.
A design can hide tabs but never adds them: the engagement still decides what guests may post. A design an engagement uses cannot be deleted until that engagement picks another. Notes are always handwritten, as on the walls.
The keepsake
What a guest saves or shares from their phone — and what a take-home page shows — is a keepsake: their photo as a polaroid, framed around every face, with a title, their caption in handwriting, the date in the venue’s time, the place and your logo. It is made once on our side, so it looks the same on every phone.
- Title — one text, or three languages as
Deutsch|English|Français; the guest sees theirs. A first part likeAirpark Moments — Grüße vom Baden-Airparkkeeps the brand in front of every language. - Show the logo, the date and the place switch those parts; the logo is the design’s, the frame its polaroid frame.
On the free plan the keepsake carries the Wunderframe mark, like every share. Agents set it with set_keepsake.
Scenes on the phone
Besides the post tabs, a design can show scenes from your screens — the flights, the food, the region — as tabs after the QR scan. You pick scenes, not screens: a scene always shows the same thing, while a screen's programme changes all day. Guests see the published scene, live, and can use it like the kiosk: a tap on a flight opens its detail, Back returns.
- Add a scene under Tabs, then give the tab a name (one text or
Flüge|Flights|Vols) and an icon, and move it where it belongs among the post tabs. - On a phone: Phone-shaped for a portrait scene (it fills the width), Portrait twin to show another scene made for portrait, or Card to show a landscape scene whole in a rounded card guests can pinch to zoom.
- The scene's own layout — logo bar, ticker, clock — is left out: the guest page is the frame, with its header, tabs and colours.
Scene tabs show on the hello step and while the engagement is closed too: they are information, not posting. Agents set them with set_guest_scenes.
One look with the workspace brand
Settings → Brand holds your colours, fonts and logos once. A design with Use the workspace brand takes them (new designs start with it on when a brand is set), Live lists, tickers and language switches on the Workspace brand palette show them on the screens, and a layout with Fonts follow the brand (Canvas panel) uses its fonts. Change the brand and the phone pages and the screens change together. Agents use set_brand.
