AI agents

Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another AI agent to Wunderframe: what it can do for you, how it signs in, and the cards it shows before it changes a screen.

Wunderframe speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP), so an AI agent can work in your workspace the way you do: set up an event from an agenda, change a card’s text, publish, run the Live board, look after screens and TV channels. It acts as you, with your role, and nothing more.

Connect an agent

  1. Add Wunderframe as a connector

In your agent, add a remote MCP server with the address https://www.wunderframe.com/_mcp. In Claude, that is a custom connector; other agents call it a remote or HTTP server.

  2. Sign in

The agent opens a Wunderframe sign-in in your browser. Sign in and allow it. From then on it acts as you.

  3. Say which workspace

If you belong to several workspaces, the agent asks which one — it never picks one by itself. Tell it once and it remembers.

An agent with nobody at the keyboard

A scheduled job cannot sign in in a browser. Make it an agent key in Settings → Agent keys (MCP): name it after the agent, choose Everything you can do or Look only, and when it expires. The key is shown once; the agent sends it as Authorization: Bearer <key>. It acts as you and still has to ask before it changes a screen. Revoke it there when the agent no longer needs it.

The Agent keys (MCP) card in Settings: the MCP address www.wunderframe.com/_mcp, "No agent keys yet", a choice between Everything you can do and Look only, an expiry of 90 days, a name field and a Create agent key button.

What an agent can do

  • Set up from nothing — read the Get started checklist, make a venue, a stage, pair a screen, and make news from a feed, a TV channel, or both (headlines, then two minutes of TV) in one step; put it on a stage all day or book it on the call sheet.
  • Arrange stories — make a story, add rolling chapters, move and remove chapters, play a chapter for a set time, loop videos and sounds, add freeze frames and keep a video running across shots.
  • Build an event — paste an agenda and it makes the rooms, screens, the agenda, speakers, live sessions with a speaker intro, and the shows for the plenary, then tells you what still needs a person. Or add one talk to a stage, set to wait for the desk to press Take.
  • Count down — a countdown or a progress bar to the doors or to a stage’s next talk (Countdowns and progress).
  • Program and details — put a program in as data with linked speakers, design agenda boards (cards, speaker photos, room names) and a detail a visitor opens with a touch or a hand (From data to screen).
  • Author — scenes, shots, blocks, music, records, named conditions and stage rules.
  • Publish — list what is not published, publish now or later, compare releases, roll back, hold a stage.
  • Run the Live board — what plays where and why, take, release, blackout, GO and Back, start and end a show, apply a preset.
  • Look after screens — list devices and their problems, identify, screenshot, reload, change settings, pair, move and unpair.
  • TV channels — import a list, set where it works, test a channel on a screen at the venue, change a stage’s channel.
  • Stages and walls — create stages, set a grid wall, rotation, idle, sync and rules.
  • Renderers — for owners: upload, activate and roll back a custom renderer.

Where the agent’s app can show them, lists come back as the same pictures you see in Wunderframe: a grid of stages with what plays and why, a table of devices with their badges, the list of unpublished changes.

It asks before it changes a screen

Anything that changes what people in a room see, or cannot be quietly undone, comes back as a confirmation card instead of happening: what will happen, in the same words as in Wunderframe — Publish release 43 — 3 changes to 6 stages; 14 screens will update in the background — with Confirm and Cancel. Nothing happens until you press Confirm.

Cards cover publishing and rollback, Blackout, Release all, ending a show, applying a preset, a take or a channel change on a stage a screen is showing, unpairing, rebooting, clearing a cache, new player links and renderer changes. A take on a stage no screen is showing simply happens.

Everything is on the record

Everything an agent did for you is in the Live board’s log as via an agent, with your name. Content an agent edits waits for Publish like your own edits do, and the agent tells you so.
