QR codes

Put a designer QR code on a screen that opens your engagement — pick a look, a logo in the middle and the room it belongs to.

The QR code block draws a sharp, styled code at any size — dots, soft squares, a gradient, a frame with a line of text, your logo in the middle. It usually opens an engagement’s guest page, but it can hold any link or text too.

Add a QR code to a scene

  1. Place the block

In the shot editor, add a QR code block and put it where people can see it from their seats. Bigger scans from further away.

  2. Pick the engagement

Under Leads to, keep An engagement (the phone page) and choose it under Engagement. No engagement yet? Create one under Run → Engagement first.

  3. Pick the room

If the engagement has rooms of its own, choose the one this screen is in under Room. Posts then remember where the guest scanned, and a wall can show only that room.

  4. Choose a look

Start from a preset under Look, then change what you like. Publish the scene if your workspace publishes by hand.

Looks

Three presets to start from:

  • Standard — black on white. Scans anywhere.
  • Brand — connected modules, soft eyes, a colored card.
  • Playful — glowing dots, leaf eyes, a speech bubble.

Change anything and the look becomes Custom:

  • Modules — squares, soft squares, dots, connected or diamonds.
  • Eye frame and Eye center — the three corner squares, from square to circle or leaf.
  • Fill — one color, a gradient across, or a gradient from the center, with its direction. The eyes can have their own color.
  • Background — a color, or see-through over your scene. Quiet zone sets the empty margin phones need around the code.
  • Frame — none, a card, a speech bubble or a ticket, with a Line of text above or below the code. The line can hold {field} blanks filled from data, like any caption.

Drop an image on Logo in the middle and set its Logo size. With a logo, Error correction goes to its highest, because the logo covers part of the code. Without one, a higher level survives scratches and glare and makes a denser code.

Other places the code appears

The engagement page shows its code in The phone link panel, and each of its rooms’ codes beside the room. While a session is ready or live, the presenter’s Audience tab shows the room’s code large, so they can hold it up. Every copy leads to the same guest page.

For a code on paper, use the room’s check-in card instead: every room of a venue has one, valid all day, and it always leads to the engagement running in the room at that moment. See Room check-in.
