Share your laptop to a screen
Turn a meeting-room screen into one anyone can share to — a cast zone, a code on screen, and wunderframe.com/cast on the laptop. No cables, no app.
In a meeting room, the screen can show the room's program until someone wants to share — then their laptop's screen appears in it, from the browser, with no cable and nothing to install.
Set up the room's screen once
Add a cast zone to the design
Place a Cast zone block where the shared picture should appear — full screen, or a frame beside the room's name and clock — and give it a picture for when nobody shares. See Cast zones.
Accept casting with the code on screen
On Venue → Stages, open the stage and set Watching and casting → Accept casting into cast zones to With the code on screen. Publish the design if your workspace publishes manually. The zone then shows a QR code, the address and six digits.
Share from the laptop
Open wunderframe.com/cast
In the laptop's browser, open www.wunderframe.com/cast and type the six digits the screen shows. A phone can simply scan the QR code instead.
Pick what to share
Enter a name and choose My screen, My camera or My video file, and tick With sound if needed. Press Connect, then Start sharing, and pick the window or screen in the browser's dialog.
Stop
Close the tab or stop sharing in the browser. The screen goes back to its program, and the code changes for the next person. A share runs at most 15 minutes unless you change that on the stage.
One person shares at a time; a second gets Someone is casting…. Wrong codes are limited, and the code changes after every share. The operator sees every share on the Live board and can cut it. iPhones and iPads cannot share their screen from a web page; they can share their camera or a video file.
