Screens and players

Put a stage on a real screen with a browser, the Android TV app, the desktop app or a Raspberry Pi — and keep every screen playing.

A stage is where content plays. A screen is the real thing on the wall — a TV, a projector, a video wall — and a player is what runs on it: a browser that opened the stage’s player link, or one of the Wunderframe apps for Android TV, Windows, macOS, Linux and Raspberry Pi.

These pages take a stage from your laptop to a screen that keeps playing on its own, and show you how to look after every screen from the office.

Rooms and their screens

A room is a place in a venue — a hall, a breakout room, the lobby. Open Venues, the venue, then Rooms to create, rename or delete one and to choose its screens.

  • A room holds any number of screens — a front screen and side screens — or none: a breakout room with only a printed QR code is a room too.
  • A screen is in one room at most.
  • Sessions happen in a room. A live session shows on every screen of its room, so front and side screens stay identical, unless the session uses only some of them.
  • Each room has one check-in QR code for guests, valid all day — see Room check-in — and its own page on the Live board — see Operate one room.

Stages that had a Space were moved into a room of that name, in their venue, automatically.
